Sometimes a short timeline is the best thing that can happen to a wedding. That was true for Ashley and John, who planned their intimate Las Vegas wedding in a month and never second-guessed a single choice. Ashley had a clear vision for her wedding hair and makeup, and with only a few weeks to go, I got a quick read on what she wanted and matched her with the artists who fit her look and her budget.

When the timeline is tight, some brides skip the trial. We still recommend doing one, even if it lands a few days before the wedding. A trial lets you settle on your look and get comfortable with your artist ahead of time. We use it to test a couple of variations, but honestly the bigger reason is the rapport. Walking into your wedding day already at ease with your artist makes everything smoother.

Ashley wanted soft glam. Natural-looking skin with medium coverage and a bronzed glow, hair in loose waves. The goal was to look like herself on a really good day, which is what we aim for with every bride’s wedding hair and makeup.

The getting ready part sets the tone for the whole day. Ashley had five party members getting hair and makeup with her, so she wanted a space where nobody felt crammed in. She chose Red Rock Resort + Casino because her room had plenty of room for everyone to get ready together and actually enjoy the morning.
An intimate wedding can be every bit as fun and beautiful as a big one, and Ashley and John are proof. They got ready at Red Rock Resort + Casino, then had a small ceremony in their family’s backyard with their closest people.
