Palm Springs has been a wedding favorite for a few years now, and lately it works in just about any season. It’s an easy call for couples in other parts of California who want a destination feel without asking everyone to travel too far. That was the case for Bridget and Sean, who live in Los Angeles and chose the Holiday House in Palm Springs. It felt like a getaway, but their friends and family could still make the drive. We handled their Palm Springs wedding hair and makeup from the first trial to the last dance.
For clients doing a destination wedding, we usually offer two options for hair and makeup artists. They can work with someone from where they live, in this case Los Angeles, or someone local to the wedding, in this case Palm Springs. There are trade-offs either way, and it comes down to what works best for the couple. Bridget liked the idea of doing her trial at home in LA, so we set her up with an LA-based hairstylist who could nail the look she wanted and then travel to Palm Springs for the wedding day.

Even in September, Palm Springs runs warm, so it helps to pick a style that suits both your look and the weather. Bridget wanted her hair down in soft waves, so we made sure her hairstylist built the style to hold up in the desert heat and last all the way through the evening.

You can see it in the photos: Bridget and Sean had the time of their lives, and her hair and makeup held all day and night. That’s what an experienced artist gives you. The look stays put so the couple never has to think about it and can just be in the day.
