South Coast Winery has a way of making everything feel effortless — the rolling vineyard rows, the weeping trees draped over the pathways, the warm afternoon light that photographers clearly build entire timelines around. For Alexandra and Kyle’s wedding, we were there from the very beginning: a 7:30am start, a full bridal party, and everything wrapped up well before the ceremony.

The Bridal Look

Alexandra’s hair was worn down in long, loose waves — dark, glossy, and with just enough movement to feel natural rather than set. Her lace-edged veil added ceremony drama without competing with the clean lines of her strapless gown, and it photographed beautifully both in the midday sun and in the golden vineyard light later in the evening.

Her makeup was a soft, natural bridal look, a luminous skin with a fresh finish, defined brows, and a neutral lip that let her features read clearly in every lighting condition. No heavy contouring, no bold color moment. Just a refined, wearable version of herself that held all day.

The Bridal Party Timeline

This was a full-service morning at South Coast Winery: bride hair and makeup, three party members receiving both hair and makeup, three hair-only services, and two makeup-only services. Nine services total. Setup was at 7:00am, first service at 7:30am, and the full party was completed by 1:00pm.

Why the Timeline Matters at South Coast Winery

Vineyard portraits happen in a narrow window of late-afternoon golden light and they’re worth protecting. Getting ready by 1pm for a midday ceremony gives the couple real room: time for a first look, bridal party portraits, and arriving at the altar without rushing.

If you’re getting married at South Coast Winery with a party of 8–12, build in at least 5–6 hours for beauty services. We work backwards from your ceremony time when building your morning, as the last thing we want for you is to feel rushed.
