If not working with us, chat with your artist before your wedding day to see what the plan is, should an unforeseen occurrence happen. They should have a backup plan in place. So you still have the wedding day you’ve dreamed of 🤍

Green Flags to look for when booking hair and makeup artists ✨ From A Beauty Concierge

1. Good communication from the start shows that the artist is timely and organized. Which bodes well for communication leading up the wedding day regarding services, timeline, etc.

Expect a response within 1-2 days, unless you inquired on the weekend, to which, expect a few more days response time.

2. Showcases a wide range of skin tones and hairstyles on their website / IG pages. This shows they work on their color matching skills and strive to make every client feel beautiful in their skin.

3. Requires a deposit and contract! You’d be surprised the number of artists I’ve encountered that don’t require a deposit or contract, which without one doesn’t hold them accountable to being there for your date.

4. Has a backup plan in case they are unable to perform the services for your wedding day (they are sick, injured, etc). Life happens, and having a plan to find suitable artists as a replacement is a must.

1. Plan 15-30 minutes of buffer time! If any bridesmaid / party member is running late, adjustments need to be made to looks, you want to eat, etc., planning extra time allows you to enjoy the experience knowing you will be done with plenty of buffer!

2. Schedule touchups between ceremony and reception! It’s worth booking your hair and makeup artist(s) to stay to touchups, so your hair and makeup looks flawless for your grand entrance 😉 and you can dance the night away looking your best.

3. Tip ahead of time! That way you don’t have to carry any cash or worry about Venmo’ing after services are completed. Enjoying your wedding day should be the focus!
