1. What makes Elwynn + Cass different from a hiring a hair and makeup artist?

Elwynn + Cass is a beauty concierge service, so we take a client focused approach to make sure you have a personalized experience based on what you care about. Based on how you envision your hair and makeup, what’s most important to you, your¬† budget, etc. we personally match and coordinate the artists best suited to your needs so you don’t have to go searching on your own.

We also guarantee that in the event an artist cannot do your wedding day due to unforeseen circumstances or a family emergency, we will sub in another artist of equal caliber and pricing that can achieve the look and experience you are wanting. You never have to worry about an artist cancelling on you and having to scramble.

 

2. What kind of events do you do?

We set up hair and makeup artists for all types of events, including weddings, corporate events, photoshoots, birthdays, Bat Mitzvahs, etc,

 

3. How do you verify the artists?

We personally vet every artist that we match and coordinate for clients, by having them do a hair and/or makeup trial on us. That way we can attest to their quality of work, experience level, professionalism, etc. and ensure that we know the experience you will have as a client.

 

4. What is the process like in working with a beauty concierge?

Since we personalize the experience to you, after we have an idea of how you envision the day and experience, we send you curated options of hair and makeup artists that we believe to be a great fit for you needs. After reviewing them, if you choose to move forward, we handle everything from there, including setting up a trial, correspondence with the artists, handling payment to the artists on your behalf, a beauty timeline, and most importantly, allowing you to enjoy your engagement without having to worry about the process. That’s our job!

Part of the luxury and stress free experience we give clients, is including gratuity on any proposal for the artists, as we believe in what TIP stands for (“to insure perfection”), as well as to alleviate any stress on the day of the wedding. We believe the last thing you need to worry about is paying anyone on the day of your wedding. You should just enjoy the experience and not worry about a thing!

 

5. Where you based?

We work with artists all over the country, from California to NYC, and everywhere in between. We also work with clients on their destination weddings outside of the US as well, so wherever you need help finding the best hair and makeup artists for your needs, we can help!

 

6. Are your services an extra cost on top of hair and makeup?

It depends on the scope of the event, but unless you plan on having 20 -30+ party members for hair and makeup, then no. We have a referral worked out with the artists, so there is no additional cost for our services on top of the hair and makeup costs.

 

7. How far out should I inquire?

The ideal amount of time is at least 7-9 months for a wedding, as the best artists often get booked that far out for popular dates, but you can reach out as far or as close to your date as you can, and we will do our best to make sure you have the experience you deserve. 8. How do I go about booking?

After deciding which artist you want to go with, the next step is for us to send you a proposal / contract to secure the artists. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date and artists and the remainder is due 30 days out from the wedding day.

If you decide to book prior to doing a trial, and plan a closer to the date, if after your trial, you feel it isn’t the best fit with the original artist, you aren’t stuck with that artist. We will sub in another artist of equal caliber and pricing, to ensure you get the experience you deserve and you never have to feel bad or stressed. The deposit paid will be transferred to the new artist. That’s the benefit you get in working with Elwynn + Cass.
