The honest answer: most couples planning wedding hair and makeup in San Diego spend somewhere between about $900 for a bride only morning and $3,000 or more for a larger party with a trial and travel. Where you land depends on your party size, whether you add a trial, how far we travel to your getting ready location, and the timeline your day calls for. Below is exactly what we charge and what moves the number, so you can budget with no surprises.
Wedding hair and makeup is not the same as a salon blowout, and the price reflects that. You are paying for a look that is built to last a full day of photos, hugs, happy tears, and dancing, and for a team that arrives to you, on schedule, with everything they need. That includes the trial where we design your look, the getting ready timeline we build so the morning stays calm, the products and techniques chosen for your venue and the weather, and the hold that keeps everything in place from first look to last dance.
When you compare quotes, look past the per face number. A lower price with no trial, no timeline, and no plan for a large party can cost you more in stress on the day. We would rather be clear up front about what your morning actually needs.

A typical San Diego wedding

Smaller parties start lower, larger parties scale by $300 per person, and your final number depends on your getting ready address and timeline.

Say you want hair and makeup for yourself and four people in your party, plus a trial. That is $525 for you, $1,200 for your four attendants, and $525 for your trial, which comes to about $2,250 before travel. A bride only morning with a trial is closer to $1,050. A larger party of eight simply scales by $300 per additional person.
Travel is the one piece that shifts with your venue. A getting ready suite in downtown San Diego, La Jolla, or Coronado is close to home for us. A North County vineyard, a Ramona ranch, or a backcountry venue adds a little more for the drive. We quote it from your exact getting ready address so it is accurate, never a guess.

Is a trial really worth it? For most people, yes. It is where we design your look on your actual hair and skin, test your veil and accessories, and set the plan so the wedding morning is calm and quick.
Do you charge for travel in San Diego? The first 20 miles from our area are complimentary, then travel is calculated from your getting ready address. Coastal venues are usually minimal; inland and backcountry venues add a little for the drive.
How far in advance should we book? Popular San Diego dates go early, often nine to twelve months out. Once your date is secured with a signed agreement and retainer, your team is held for you.
What is not included in the prices above? Gratuity is never required and always appreciated, and any applicable taxes or add-ons are shown clearly on your proposal. You can see your full number before you book by building your estimate.
