An Intimate Wedding at Red Rock Resort + Casino in Las Vegas, NV

Sometimes having less time to plan is the best thing you can do when planning a wedding. For Ashley + John this was the case, as they were able to plan their intimate wedding in a month without any second thoughts or guesses on choices. When it came to hair and makeup, Ashley had a specific vision in mind. With only a month until the wedding date, I quickly got a sense of her vision and set her up with the artists that best fit her overall look, investment, etc. 

Pre Wedding Trial

When there is a tight timeline from booking until the wedding day, some brides opt out of doing a trial. However, we are proponents of doing a trial, even if it’s a few days before the wedding day. This is so each bride can feel at ease with their look and that they are on the same page as the artist. To us the purpose of a trial is to try a few different variations of looks a bride may be envisioning, but more so than that, it’s about building rapport with the artist and feeling at ease for the wedding day. 

Wedding Hair + Makeup Vision

For Ashley, the vision she had for her wedding day hair and makeup, was more of a soft glam look. Natural looking skin with medium coverage and a bronzed glow, and her hair is loose waves. A look that would make her feel like an elevated version of herself, which is the ultimate goal for a wedding day look. 

Getting Ready Location: Red Rock Resort + Casino

Aside from the overall vision for hair and makeup, the getting ready process is an important element to the overall feel of the day. Ashley had 5 party members getting hair and makeup services with her, so she wanted to consider the getting ready location to have enough space where everyone could get ready without feeling cramped. Given this, she chose Red Rock Resort + Casino, as there would be enough space in her room for her party members to get ready with her, as well as have a relaxed and fun time. 

An intimate wedding can be just as beautiful and fun as a large scale wedding, and Ashley + John proved this with their wedding. They got ready at Red Rock Resort + Casino and then had an intimate ceremony in their family’s backyard with their closest family and friends.
