I remember when Lindsey first called me needing hair and makeup for her wedding. I was working from home, sitting at my desk, when my phone started ringing with a 218 area code. I’m used to getting phone calls from different area codes, but the clients getting married on the West Coast. This instance was different, the bride on the other side (Lindsey) was getting married in Duluth, Minnesota and needed help with hair and makeup.

Wedding Hair and Makeup In Duluth, Minnesota
After an initial consultation with Lindsey on the phone, I got a sense of her, her vibe and how she wanted the beauty experience to go on her wedding day. She described the day as “simple, elegant, kind of boho, and very natural”. More so than anything she wanted to feel like an elevated version of herself on her wedding day, and to have fun. She’s very laid-back as it is, but wanted her wedding day to be entirely stress-free and up until that point, she was feeling unsure when it came to beauty.
I sent her some options for hair and makeup artists in the area that I thought would be the best fit for her and got her set up with a trial. After her trial, she decided she wanted to move forward and I took care of booking/payment for her with the artists. One of the many roles I take on as your beauty concierge is to handle the booking/payment for services, so you don’t have to and can enjoy your engagement. Especially remembering the due dates, deposit amounts, etc. can get confusing. Once the deposit was received and signed contract handled, she was set to go!

A Bump In The Road
About a month out from the wedding day, Lindsey decided she wanted another hair trial, as she wanted to try a different style. This happens often and is never a problem, but the original artist had some recent health issues and now was longer available for her wedding day. Under normal circumstances, this might be cause for panic, but one of the reasons Lindsey chose to work with me, was because as her beauty concierge, I can guarantee an experienced and well matched artist, no matter the circumstances. If for any reason the artist is unable to do the services, I substitute a new artist in without there being any cause for concern.
That’s what I did. I set up a new artist for her, she did the hair trial, and loved her (even more than the first artist). From there, everything was smooth sailing. She had herself + 9 others for hair and/or makeup services on the wedding day, starting at 6:00am and finishing at 11:00am. Everyone was ecstatic with their looks and if the photos are anything to go by, they had a blast.
