The Number One Beauty Tip You Need This Holiday Season

 In Tips & Tricks, Uncategorized

The end of 2018 is quickly upon us and if you are anything like me, I’ve barely had enough time to buy presents, let alone time for self-care. As the end of December is rapidly approaching and you’ve got to scurry to figure out what to do and wear for the holidays, don’t let your self-care fall to the wayside. You know what the number one beauty tip you need this holiday season is?

Use What You Have

No need to go out and buy new products for the holidays (if you even have time for that). Yes I know there is Amazon, online shopping and you can ship things, but still there is no need to buy new items for your holiday beauty routine. Instead hack them and use one product in replace of another that you might be missing. A perfect example of this uses lipstick.

Use Lipstick To Fix Chipped Nail Polish

If you just read this and thought I was crazy, google “lipstick as nail polish” and watch the plethora of videos come up. Really it is a super easy hack and you don’t even need to leave your house.

Take the lipstick color of your choice and using a small makeup brush, apply some of the lipstick on clean nails. Apply 1-2 coats like you would normal polish and once it dries, apply a top coat and voila! Hack your way to holiday nails!

Eyeshadow to Eyebrows

If you have run out of eyebrow pencil (cough, cough, me), don’t worry about it. There is a readily available solution. Go into your makeup bag, find your eyeshadow palette or highlight/contour palette. Depending on your eyebrow color, either one of these is a quick and easy hack to fill in the shade gaps of your eyebrows. Take a soft brush (angled is ideal) and dab lightly into the eyeshadow shade of your choice. Then do  light sweeping motions over your brows following your natural arch. Once you finish, you should have filled in your brows enough so that they look natural and no one will be the wiser.

Tip: If they seem too dark, take some foundation powder and your big fluffy brush and sweep over your eyebrows. It will lighten up the color enough without removing the shadow.
